Personal liability
Covers bodily injury and property damage to others caused by your actions and/or negligence.

 

Medical payments (Med Pay)
Pays for others' medical expenses resulting from an accident on your property. This coverage on your apartment renters insurance policy will not apply to you or regular residents of your household.

 

Extended replacement cost on contents
This renters insurance policy pays to replace or repair personal property without depreciation being taken from the value of the property.

 

Water backup
This coverage protects you against losses caused by water that backed up through sewers or drains. (This is not flood insurance.)

 

Ordinance or law
Pays for increased expense to rebuild due to current building codes or ordinances

.

Credit card
Pays up to your selected limit for unauthorized transactions on your credit cards and bank debit/ATM card. This renters insurance coverage also applies to forged checks and counterfeit money.

 

Jewelry, watches, furs
Pays for the physical loss of jewelry, watches, furs, and precious and semiprecious stones.

 

Firearms
Pays for the physical loss of firearms and accessories.

 

Extended replacement cost
Pays full replacement costs without depreciation for covered personal property losses.

 

Personal injury liability
This renters insurance coverage policy provides coverage for damages awarded to others due to injuries such as false arrest, libel, slander and invasion of privacy for which you are responsible.

 

Theft extension
Provides extended protection for your personal belongings stored away from your home in or on any motor vehicle, trailer or watercraft.

 

Earthquake and volcanic eruption
Pays for losses to your property caused by earthquake or volcanic eruption.

 

Building/Additions/Alterations
Pays for damages to additions, alterations, fixtures, improvements or installations that you make to your residence on your apartment renters insurance coverage.

 

Loss of use
Provides reimbursement up to the limit specified on the policy for additional living expenses resulting from being unable to live in your home.

 

Money
Pays for the physical loss of money, bank notes, bullion, gold other than goldware, silver other than silverware, platinum, coins and medals.

 

Hurricane
Provides renters insurance coverage for property damage resulting from a hurricane. However, this coverage may be subject to special terms, conditions and deductibles in coastal states.

 

Windstorm or hail
Provides coverage for property damage resulting from windstorms, hail and tornados.

 

Securities
Pays for the physical loss of securities, accounts, bills, deeds documents, evidences of debt, letters of credit, notes other than bank notes, passports, stamps and tickets.
